Formerly known as McGee Airways until 1932, the airline started its first operational

dimension of 62 inches.
Hand Baggage:
All passengers boarding a flight through Alaska Airlines can carry one piece of baggage.
The maximum size of any luggage can be 10 x 17 x 24 inches. These would be measured
in height x width x length.
Passengers may also carry one piece of personal item like purse, briefcase or laptop
computer.
In addition to this all passengers should know that acceptance to carry baggage would
depend upon the space available on the aircraft.

Alaska Airlines, Inc., an Alaska corporation was founded in 1932. Till about 1942, the airline was known as 'Alaska Star Airlines'. It got its current name - Alaska Airlines - in the year 1944. In 1985, Alaska Air Group was formed as a holding company for Alaska Airlines. Alaska Air Group acquired Horizon Air in 1986 and in the year 1987, Jet America Airlines was merged into Alaska Airlines.
