Fiji Airways is formerly referred to as Air Pacific and began with the operation of 7 seater aircraft on 1st September,1951. The flight of this aircraft was from Fiji’s Nausori Airport to Drasa Airport near Lautoka.

Checked Baggage

All adult passengers boarding international Economy class flights can take up to 30 kgs and Business class can take up to 10 kgs. This weight limit is for all those not taking flights to USA or Canada.

Passengers are requested to note their maximum baggage allowance from the airlines website prior to flight booking and packaging of any piece of luggage.

The dimension of any checked luggage should not be more than 158 cms.

Checked baggage allowance for all infants is restricted to one piece not weighing more than 10 kgs. This can be registered by the guardian and should be informed about before flight booking.

Hand Baggage

Only one piece of carry bag with a maximum weight limit of 7 kgs and dimension up to 115 cms or 55cm X 40cm X 20cm (inclusive of handles and wheels) can be taken aboard.

Travellers can also take one small personal item such as a laptop case/bag or purse.
