Web check-in and verification

Passengers can enhance their experience and save time at the airport by checking-in online. Passengers can choose a preferred seat, print their boarding pass, and use the fast-bag-drop counters at the airport to check-in their luggage with ease.
Qatar Airways offers online check-in for flights from the US 24 hours prior to departure and check-in for flights to the US 24 hours prior to departure from Doha. For all other flights, online check-in is available 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure.
Passengers can also download the Qatar Airways mobile application to their smart phone for greater convenience.


Baggage Allowance

A single piece of checked baggage should weigh no more than 32 kg. In addition to the regular checked-in baggage allowance, passengers may also bring along a hand baggage on board the cabin. First Class and Business Class customers are allowed to carry two pieces of baggage on board, not to exceed a total weight of 15 kg. Economy Class customers are allowed to carry one piece of baggage, not to exceed 7 kg and for tickets issued in Brazil, Economy Class customers on flights to or from Brazil are allowed to carry one piece of baggage, not to exceed 10 kg.
Qatar Airways also complies with International Travel Standards that do not allow passengers to carry firearms, weapons, explosive devices, flammable substances, toxic as well as chemical substances. Passengers who carry sharp objects are required to pack the items along with the checked-in baggage.

Fleet

Qatar Airways operates one of the youngest and most technologically advanced fleet of aircrafts. The current fleet of Qatar Airways consists of 85 aircrafts including Boeing 777 - 300ER, Airbus A340 - 600, Airbus A320 - 200, Airbus A330 - 200, Airbus A330 - 300, Airbus A321 - 200, Airbus A300 - 600, Airbus A319CJ, Airbus A300 - 600 Cargo Freighters and Airbus Long Range A319 LR. Six new wide-body aircrafts are expected to be added to the fleet. These include Airbus's like the A350-1000, A350-900, A350-800, A380-800 and Boeing 787-8.

Established on November 22, 1993, Qatar Airways began its operations using a wet-leased B767-200(ER) plane from Kuwait Airways.
