About Royal Brunei


Royal Brunei was established on 18 November 1974 as its country's flag carrier. It was launched as an independent corporation wholly owned by the government of Brunei Darussalam.Over the years it has shown abundant growth and achieved numerous awards in its field.The airline increased its operations in 2010 and now has fleet of six Boeing Boeing 777-200ERs, two Airbus A320s and two Airbus A319s.

Royal Brunei Baggage Information


Carry on Baggage:

Any piece of hand luggage should not exceed 115 linear cms in dimension, inclusive of handles and wheels.

The weight of any handbag should not exceed 5 Kgs.

Any secondary hand luggage must be tagged with an exemption tag.

The cabin bag size differs from handbag. Passengers have maximum limit for either a Briefcase of 55 x 38 x 20 cms or Bag- 55 x 38 x 20 cms or a Garment Bag- 20 cms. This applies to all Economy Class travellers along with a weight limit of 7 Kgs.

The limitation for Business Class travellers is 55 x 38 x 20 cms for adults and 55 x 38 x 20 cms for infants for a single piece.

It should be noted that boarding personnels may carry any one of the items mentioned above as part of their cabin bag. For more details regarding baggage information log on to the official website of the airline.

Checked Baggage:

The maximum allowance for checked baggage of Business Class Passenger is up to 40 Kgs, whereas for Economy Class travellers is 25 Kgs.

It should be noted that the maximum weight for checked luggage is mentioned on the electronic ticket.

The size of any checked luggage should not be more than 62 linear inches.

Middle East Airlines Check-in Facilities:

All counter for check in close between 2 hours to 60 minutes before flight departure time. This variation is in accordance with the boarding station.

The check in counters at the airport terminals open approximately 4 to 2 hours prior to flight takeoff time. The opening time also differs on the basis of airport station.

Web check in facility is also available for all aircrafts operated by Royal Brunei (RB).
