Virgin Australia Airline allows its passengers to carry pre-defined checked baggage without charging any cost. The weight limit of the checked baggage varies in different classes of the airline. Passengers travelling Saver Lite class are not entitled to any checked baggage carriage. The Saver and Flexi Class allows the passengers to carry 1 piece of checked baggage, the weight limit for these classes is 23 kg. The weight limit and number of pieces allowed in Business Class are raised to 32 kg and 2, respectively. The maximum linear dimension allowed for a piece of checked baggage is 140cm(length+height+width).

Passengers who are members of Frequent Flyer Program are treated with further benefits as finalized by the airline authority. Baggage pieces exceeding the allowed limits are subjected to excess baggage charges.

Carry-on baggage:

Passengers travelling with Virgin Australia Airlines are allowed to choose whether to carry two pieces of carry on baggage or one single piece. The weight must not exceed 7k g per passenger in any case. The maximum linear dimension allowed for carry on baggage is 105cm.
