About SpiceJet

Based out of Gurgaon India, SpiceJet began its operations back in May 2005. With a fast growth rate, SpiceJet soon became India’s second largest domestic airline in 2008 grabbing a major section of the domestic aviation market share. A descendant of the Erstwhile Modiluft , started by Industrialist S K Modi, Spice Jet now operates in 31 Indian cities with a total of 243 flights daily.

SpiceJet Operation

Spice Jet was earlier known as ModiLuft started in February 1993 and was one of the first private airlines to start after the deregulation of the Indian Aviation Industry. This special fare created an Asian record since it garnered 37,000 flights booking in one day.
