Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi

I stayed here for 4 nights with family the property is beautiful with nice location but very disappointed with the staff and their responsibility towards the customers. All my expensive belongings were in the locker for 4 days except i left my wallet with around Rs.10000 in it on the table for few hours before going to the pool area and when we reached back to the room the moneg from inside the wallet was missing and a pair of my sports shoes (Under Armour) were also missing. The moment we got to know about the theft we called the reception and house keeping people and told them abt the incident and even told them the house keeper who was cleaning our room when we were gone had stolen the money they could not help us with anything and payed no serious attention. The next morning I spoke to the manager wanted him to help us or let us meet the guy who was cleaning the room but he simply refused and answered that they have interrogated him and he has not stolen the money. Then i asked them to give him to the cops as if we are not secured in the 5 star property like yours where else can we be secured on this also they did nothing and said we will see if we find ur stuff shall mail you. I understand i should not have left the money open in the room but i couldnt hv kept the shoes in the locker now. So i would never recommend this property to anyone as on holidays u are there to relax and enjoy but if u are not secure only in the property then there is no use to stay in such a property. and at last they didnt hv any cctvs available on the outskirts of the rooms to see if anything even worst than this happens in the room to check who had enetered the room and at what time.. so if you love ur children never book this property as there is no security responsibility at all in the property..... DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!

Room was spacious, separate balcony where one can sit and enjoy the view of beach/ lake / garden. Security is high. Enjoyed the buggy ride in the resort - they will take you from Lobby to room and vice versa. Private beach available. Indian food was really good. Bathroom was big but bathtub was not available as I had Garden View room. Privacy, Food and location as Indian restaurant nearby. Rent a scooty and cover the island.

It was good resort, one of the best places in Langkawi, Staff was OK but services was not that prompt, late cleaning and we asked for soap adn it came bit late, Food in the hotel was bit costly in the hotel but Rooms of the hotel was good. Location of the hotel was near to the beach and as Langkawi is a small island so everything was lardly an hour distance.

It's a pretty big property with a beautiful beach side. The room and bathroom were perfect. The only glitch was that they have a single air conditioner for a large room. Hence cooling in the afternoon might be a bit slow. The staff is extremely helpful and polite.
