Read the positive reviews and booked this hotel. Considered the location of the hotel is within the fort of Maheshwar , we thought better food n facilities would be available. The room was apparently clean. For a hot water bath, there's a tiny geyser which hardly gives a tumbler of hot water after switching on. Filling a bucket of hot water was out of the question obviously because the size of the geyser was too small. We had to take cold water baths, something we never have done in our life, which made us catch a cold and after we travelled back home to our city , we were unwell for a week. Also the manager/owner appeared to be guest friendly. He arranged for a pathetic cab driver for a trip to Omkareshwar. We were hassled by the cab driver and thoroughly disgusted with such an experience. Most guests who stay at this hotel drive in from various small towns/ locations in Maharashtra n MP, so they won't face what we have faced. I would never stay nor recommend this hotel for any person who needs a bucket full of hot water for baths and travellers flying in from Indore without a cab service of their own looking to explore the area.

"Excellent hotel. Great service The room was very spacious, clean, and had the amenities we needed. The people in the reception were very helpful, not just on checkin and checkout, but also in giving directions to spots. The location is great- as inside the fort. I would recommend to friends, and will definitely stay again if Im back in Maheshwar" Very special thanks to Mr. Suresh Naik ji (Manager Hotel), Very Hardworking, polite and decent. This hotel is very near (walkable) to the Ahilya Fort. It is literally quite tiny, the rooms are pretty small. There are no food services in the hotel, nothing nearby as well. No parking, basically the hotel is on a narrow lane. No wonder there is no outdoor picture of the hotel. There are better hotels on the main road with better facilities and much lower price.

Loved our stay at Amantran. Rooms & Toilets were clean. Places like Raj rajeswar temple, Kashi Vishwanath temple, Narmada Ghat, Fort, etc are just couple of minutes away from Amantran. Also like to thanks to owner Naik ji for good hospitality and recommendation of places to visit and local eatery.

The best place to stay at Maheshwar. The hotel is very clean and has pleasant atmosphere. Its inside Ahilya fort and just 1 min walk from the main Maheshwar ghat. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful.
