I booked this hotel primarily on the basis of its location and also the price which seemed reasonable. When we drove to the hotel, unfortunately, the road leading up to it was under repair and we had to take a fairly narrow diversion. Parking was adequate. To start with the positives. The location of this hotel is its biggest selling point. It is situated just next to the Mandovi River with a beautiful, unobstructed view of the other bank. It has a very nice shaded seating area with dining arrangements, as well as a large lawn and a hardstand. The hotel itself appears to be some years old, but the original construction in terms of the quality of wood, doors, walls, etc seems quite solid. Unfortunately, the room that we stayed in was not up to the same standard. It was very spartan in terms of furniture with just one double bed, no cupboard or hanging arrangements, but only some wooden shelves for keeping folded clothes and other items. There were two plastic chairs and a plastic table which were kept outside the room on the small balcony, but other than that, there was no other furniture in the room itself. The bathroom, though fairly large, was also very basic and lacking in many amenities. The wash basin was rather small. The toilet also was not of a good standard. The seat was made of cheap flexible plastic and kept falling down. Fortunately, the shower and the geyser worked quite well. We had just one meal in the hotel after arrival. While the non-veg (mostly seafood) thali was quite good, my wife was not very happy with the veg thali that she ordered. Overall, it seemed to me that this hotel has immense potential in terms of its location, but unfortunately, for whatever reason, it has not been brought up to and maintained at a high standard.

The best part about our stay was the river view. The room and bathroom was fine but could improve with a makeover as it felt a little old. We dint opt for the breakfast but looking at the breakfast spread, we went ahead with it, the breakfast was simple but good. The staff were courteous especially the staff at night whose name I regrettably forget. The river view and the sit out area.

Overall experience was very good. Ambience was excellent, river side rooms enhances the beauty of stay. Approach of all the staffs was very good. Evenings are much more peaceful here . Open yard spaces outside the rooms has got its own beauty. Food and drinks with music is another excellent aspect of resort. Highly recommend for families and couple stay.

The stay was okayish.. as we went during the monsoon the area was filled with water. The room was pretty good. It would be a great place to stay aside from monsoon.
