Don't go there expecting it a hotel. It is a heritage palace kind of building of a royal family whose present generation is now into politics. you will even not get a reception to greet you. but the staff employed there will never let you feel as if you are not in a hotel. they provide prompt service and will help you in any manner they can. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Situated in a peaceful and calm surroundings away from main market. Stay there to relax. they can easily provide a taxi to visit the main market so location is not such a big issue. travelling to Mcleodganj through khara danda road (on which this hotel is located) reduces the travel time n distance markedly, but the road is steep and self drivens can face difficulty if traffic is more.

Bcoz of the age related issues couldn't make it to the standard rooms located on very high stairs. I was made to stay in the cottage beneath- it was a two bed room accommodation with large drawing cum dining facility. It was quite spacious with vintage looks and all the amenities. The breakfast and the dinner were tailor-made home cooked n very tasty food. Excellent room services by young n energetic Megh Singh and his assistant. The panoramic view of the valley from the cottage is worth mentioning. Though the place is very far from the city centre, it's peaceful, cosy and worth staying.

Location is one of the best things about this hotel.The residence of the Maharja of Kangra, away from the noise and crowd of the city, surrounded with lush green trees, it is a pefect getaway for a restful vacation .The staff is efficient and courteous and the food is just like home.Would definitely recommend it to nature lovers.

Clouds end villa is an awesome place to stay but a bit aloof from the crowd which feels a bit haunted after 6 in the evening and It has no amenities including wifi which is accessible only to a few rooms close to lawn area..Service is excellent by the staff. Lost of insects wander in and out of the room after dawn.. Thanks

best hotel in dharamshala and mcloedganz.....if u want peace nd want to relax in a 100% natural lifestyle.........away from main city and market so have to spend extra bucks on cabs and taxis.....staff is polite and behave nicely......food is awesome and cheap.......good stay...

A nice place to stay away from the hassle of cities. The villa is bit far off from the main place but the calm and natural environment makes it worthy. Service is quite slow and quality of food should be improved. The staff is friendly and helpful.

nice isolated place from dharamshala's mess.. staff is jodhpuri and very helpful. they waited for us till 12:30 in the night because we were stuck in traffic. I recommend this hotel for sure
