Essence of Nature

This beautiful journey started with a long traveler ride of about 10 hours from Gurgaon to EON. Crossing the traffic of Delhi and hitting the beautiful roads which then led us to the serpentine roads of Uttarakhand. Quite exhausted, we took the last turn towards the not so easy drive to the resort. Upon reaching the resort, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and were provided with welcome drinks. As soon as we entered the resort, we were enchanted with the beauty of the place. Built upon a steep hill, this property looked exquisite. We were shown our rooms and we decided to rest and settle down for a while. The explorer in me couldn't wait for long, so I changed quickly and went down to see more of this place. The moment I reached the children activity area, I was welcomed by three extremely cute dogs(Fizi, Lucie and Shadow). They are the cutest little fellows you will meet on this property. Whilst playing with them, I was informed about a monkey which the resort has adopted, I went to see and I was overwhelmed by the cute face of this 6 months old monkey by the name of Bajrangi. The resort has roosters, rabbits, dogs and a monkey and the best part is, all of them play with each other as well as with the guests. We then went for our lunch to the grill house and the food was delicious. Variety was breath taking and each item on the buffet tasted fantastic. The hotel staff was perfect in terms of service, politeness and helpfulness. Their activities manager Mr. Satbir was more than welcome to tell us about the various activities we can do. A small trek which makes you take in the amazing views of this place and the various sports you can indulge in on the resort was all a part of this deal. We played table tennis,cricket, badminton, went for the trek and had a lot of fun doing these activities. Evenings were none the less special, bonfire was set up by the staff and a music system for all of us to enjoy. We sat near the bonfire, played games, had snacks, a lot of other guests also joined us in the same. The next evening was the Christmas eve and the whole place was decorated beautifully, balloons,lights, barbecue setup, bonfire, a DJ system, you ask for it and you had it. All the guests participated and had loads of fun, the hotel had planned a few games which were really enjoyable. All of us enjoyed a lot and have taken a lot of memories back with us of this place. Though this place is a bit away from the main hustle bustle of Jim corbett or ranikhet, I term this resort as a must visit. You don't need to go anywhere else if you visit this place. I think it's important to share the feedback for my fellow travellers. The property is located at an isolated location on an hill top on Basot Road @ Ghatti with not even proper road access. Any novice driver won't be able to take his/her vehicle that easily. It's risky too unless the driver is confident to drive in hills. The property does not have a running Spa centre either as opposed to what is mentioned on their website. There is no Bar either , so basically just a property which in itself was satisfactory with a satisfactory service from the staff. I appreciate the effort made by their new F&B cum Restaurant Manager Gurpreet who went out of the way to provide us out of menu items to calm our nerves specially knowing how irate we were upon our arrival. We thought to spend 4 nights however realised it was a big mistake as it does not serve the purpose to club Ranikhet and Nainital ! Visitors the place not worth to stay for more than 1-2 nights unless you are okay restricting yourself just to the property !

They are frauds, very very expensive. They have charged **** for a single person, they asked us to book room from ******* as rooms were available in their resort, so we did booking as we were getting discount from ********* but on the same time they denied and mentioned rooms are not available then after reaching at resort they charged **** for a single guy. We were not in position to go back so we had to pay, i would not recommend anybody to go there, also lunch buffet was around 900 per person and dinner buffet around 1100. Service is very very poor, ridiculous. We asked them to set up bonefire at 7:30 pm whereas after making numerous follow up they did the set up at 9:30. Overall very bad experience. Never ever go and stay at EON as no essence is spreading there. They are essence of frauds.

Awesome experience and a totally relaxed vacation as desired. Great hospitality, scenic views, delicious food are some the words which fits completely for EON trip. Children also enjoyed thoroughly at EON by playing TT, Badminton, Cricket etc. EON's animal world of Roosters, rabbits, Dogs and Bajrangi ( orphaned baby monkey) is the USP and have stole our hearts. We went into a group and enjoyed every moment of the vacation at EON. I have put my detailed review at ****. I strongly recommend EON for a good break from city life and group vacations
