We stayed for around 3 days at Hotel La Niwasa. The hotel is up a steep incline around 1 kms from the lake, but we were able to take our car up and there is ample parking around the hotel. We took two hill view rooms - rooms were mostly clean but one room needed paint job in one section - nothing major. The view was great in one room but the other room opened towards the parking and view was bit restricted - but again nothing major. Food was good - both the buffet breakfast and the ala cart room service - not too expensive also. Staff is excellent and very responsive - we complained a couple of times of noise from other rooms late in the night and everytime they talked to the other tenants and got them to quiten down. There is a free shuttle provided to the mall road and back and is very useful. All in all its a very good budget hotel in Nainital, though the prices seemed premium to us. But it seems that prices are generally very high in Nainital and you are expected to pay premium for budget hotels. So overall La Niwasa is a very good budget option to stay run by an excellent and responsive staff.

Our stay at La Niwasa was amazing. The surroundings were awesome. Food is excellent. Staff behavior is very good. Room, amenities & other services were absolutely perfect. The added advantage was the live music during the weekend & awesome view from hotel balcony. The only thing we didn't like is the food cost. Every food item was very expensive including the taxes. A 1 litre mineral water bottle was available at cost Rs.60 including Taxes which is available at Rs.20 at any other places. A tawa roti was worth Rs.30. The room, amenities, staff behavior, services & food quality were excellent.

It was a Superb Experience. The hotel is well maintained and best place to stay with family/friends. Rooms were spacious and yes FOOD is simply awesome with very economical rates. Moreover, the hospitality was really amazing including hotel staff and management. The live music and bonfire is really a delight.

Wonderful experience!!! Starting from room service, food quality to live music every evening, I loved each and every bit of my stay here. Vinnu's live music performance was awesome!!! Ankit chodhery gave us amazing room service. I would love to go back there. Rooms are pretty good too.

It was a great experience, Hotel was good and they provided the facility to pick up and drop from Mall road. Night ambiance was awesome with live music. Family trip was turned well with the arrangements by Lavasa. Nice breakfast, nice options for Indian dinner with live music.

Nice hotel, specious and clean room, bit far from mall road but great view from the room. Food served in breakfast was good. Enjoyed live music and bonfire. Overall great experience. Hotel also provide pickup and drop facility to mall road.

It was an excellent stay. Room was clean, spacious. Staff was polite. Hotel was on walking distance of around 10 minutes from the mall road and naini lake. Food was good. View from the balcony was also good. A big thumbs up to the hotel.
