Lilypad Resort

Lilypad is a good hotel to stay with. Its a new hotel and well maintained. They had more amenities than we expect from hotels of similar category. we have a really pleasant stay. To start with our check in was quick. We were surprised to see the size of rooms. They were really spacious with large beds. The rooms were clean. Rooms had enough storage facility extra cloth hanger very useful to dry your wet clothes after swimming. Toilets were also neat and clean. All rooms have view to swimming pool and ground floor rooms have direct access to pool. Staff was really friendly and helpful and our special request were taken care of well. They have round the security person as well. They have limited car parking space. But it should be sufficent considering the number of people coming by car. The access road to resort is narrow for about 500 meters from the main road. The helipad beach is just 200 meters away from the resort. The beach can accessed by walk through narrrow path, very narrow path along the course. But its super safe even at late night to walk. During our stay were peforming the scheduled maintenance preparing the receive the guests as the season starts in december. There was no televison in the room as part maintenance, and we were not in mood to sit and watch TV. Swimming pool also cleaned everyday morning and water was clean. We opted with room without breakfast and hence cannot review on the food. There are a lots of restaurants along the cliff side various cusine and some excellent seafood. Few suggestions would be replace the colored bed spreads with white linen and blankets provided was too thin and was feeling cold even without AC. We really enjoyed the stay at this hotel.

The Best thing about this Resort or you can say hotel i.e Location and Pool with Large Size rooms. We stay here for 24 hours and below are pro & cons Pro's # Good location so you can walk easily to cliff and nearby beach # They have proper pool and everyday they are clearning so you can enjoy the same. # Rooms Size are Good. # Have Gated Parking Space # Swiggy Zomato Works # Pool View Rooms with AC's. # Managers & people are humble and Good behavior. Cons # No restaurants or in house food service # Only 1-2 Helper are there include manager # They have solar system for hot water so if ranining etc then you can'nt get hot water & need to use electric kettle. # Narrow Lane so if you have big SUV's then its diffcult to reach.

Since it was a busy weekend, we had to pay high for this very normal hotel. The rooms were very normal. AC was also not working. After complaining, we were given a different room. There were exactly 2 pillows and 1-bed sheet. Upon asking for one more bed sheet which ideally should have been there in the first place, night duty staff acted as if we are asking for his property. After explaining, he agreed to give a bed sheets but didn't give a pillow saying only 2 pillows per room. I think we can easily get better resorts than this one at cheaper price if we book in advance.

Located on North Cliff Varkala. We requested for an late check-in, it was approved, we request for a late check-out, it was approved also, even on a off season time, some hotel would not have approved it. The manager were very helpful in advise on what to do in the city. The room I stayed were more spacious and direct view to pool. Breakfast were good, will fresh fruits and juices, fried eggs, sliced salmons and everything you would want for breakfast
