Horrible service. Before reaching Hotel Modi Grand, Ch. Sambhaji Nahar ie Aurangabad on 24th Dec 2023 I got a call from some counter person called Satya. He told me that as some repair work is going on in the room allotted to me, he is arranging a 'better' room in 'high quality' hotel - Modi Great, but it was at another location (which was far far away from my work place). He informed me that the owner of both the hotels were same. I told him to arrange a vehicle to pick me up from the bus stand. He agreed. As I reached near my alighting point I called him to send vehicle in 5 minutes. After getting down at the bus stand, I didn't see any vehicle. So I called him back. Then he sent, you know what, a scooter! I was very upset as I had a suitcase and a backpack bag. I called him again. After much argument he advised me to hire an auto riksha and assured me that the hotel, where alternate arrangement was made, would reimburse you. I took a ricksha to reach to the far away hotel Modi Great and paid Rs. 200 for the travel. When I visited the hotel and check in I found it was more worse than Hotel Modi Grand. The rate, counter man quoted at the time of check in. The person at the counter refused to pay ricksha bill. I again called Satya, he told me that he will reimburse the rickshaw bill and the excess amount of rent. The room in Hotel Modi Great was filthy, no hot water from the tap, forget snacks and breakfast, even there was no arrangement for tea in the whole hotel. The hotel, room, service, ambience was not worth. I could not cancel my reservation as I have paid the amount and I could not cancel at the last moment. Very horrible experience. While checking out I called Satya and demanded the difference and rickshaw bill, he connected me to the owner of Modi Grand. The owner told me that it would take a day or two,I called after 4 days to remind for payment. He didn't pick my call. I sent him messages, he didn't respond. I kept messaging him after 2/3 days gap, but in vein. Today is 7th Jan. 2024 there is no response till date. Now I have decided to go to Consumer Court.
