One of the best service I have ever experienced was from this hotel.It was so good I actually wrote my first commendation letter to the management upon leaving and it was 2-pages long. I'm a manager in the service line myself and when I trained my staff, I would always use examples from my experience here. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeting by professional staff who soon enough, all remembered our name. One day I fell ill and we decided to dine in for dinner. We were at the main coffeehouse and dined outdoors. My leg was bitten my a mosquito and so I started scratching it. Next thing I knew, one of the staff placed a mosquito coil under our table. They actually noticed I was scratching. I was already impressed. Later, one of the staff came up to me and asked me if it's ok that they switch on the fans as other guest started feeling warm. I was puzzled as to why they asked me if it was ok. Apparently, they noticed I was not feeling too well (I was cold and wearing a shawl) and they had switched off the fan - I did not even realised they did that. And they were so sweet to ask if it was ok. I was really impressed. The staff there really paid attention to details. I could go on and on about the other little...More food was also awsome 👍

In the midst of the jungle (a great location), lies this hotel. when we parked outside hotel, we thought it would be a somewhat different stay! however, as soon as you walk towards reception area, you will see lot of junk lying around... lot of algae near plants n on the stairs... so do watch your steps that u don't slip n break your hip discs... the rooms are full of spiders, lizards... so u need to b awake during the night as well... food... is cooked well but we ordered tea thrice and milk was rotten in 2 instances .. so had to drink black tea..!! we came out much stronger after a day's stay!!! AVOID IF U CAN, ELSE BE PREPARED FOR THE ADVENTURE!!!!

Pros : 1. Serene and secluded location. 2. Swimming pool is X factor in summers. 3. Nice Food 4. Himachal state local buses to Shoghi, Solan and Shimla pass by from resorts, people not travelling in their own vehicles can utilise the services of these buses. Cons : 1.Maintenance could be lot better. 2.Services needs improvement - Breakfast time is 8 am but served after 8.30. No tandoori items like Naan, roti available at lunch time. 3.Flies were their in the room and despite informing the room service the issue went unaddressed.

we visited this resort on 25 july .. stayed here for 1 night 2 days.. It was awesome experience. hospitality is also good 1. very hygeinic food. and well prepared dishes. breakfast buffet also had very hood variety and taste. view of nature will keep u spell bound. its at a very peaceful location. all u can do is sit back and relax.. watch mountains and look at the toy train passing by just the next hill. overall oakwood is a treat .. bamboo huts are bit dark.. mud cottages are recommended for family..

I had a nice experience in this hotel...They tried to give us the better services, but the rooms were poorly maintained...as the time of check in there were many spider webs in room...location wise also bit inside the narrow road which is about 3 kms away from the main road...so found difficulty...they have there own set of rules like they don't provide food after 12 at night...i would highly recommend this to business, couples, friends or solo but not best fit for family...!

Absolutely delightful two days I've spent recently. Away from all the hassle and bassles of Shimla, a beautiful, romantic setting in a small village 15 km away from the city. Not a five star hotel but certainly deserves a five star rating. In case you pick this as your next holiday destination, make sure you don't leave behind dirt - keep it as clean as the place is.

The hotel was very good , great experience there. We will there only for one day with my family and enjoyed fully. swimming pool and all are well perfect. Every facility was available so it is mostly suitable for family. Food was excellent and delicious. Location was absolutely fine. Hotel was very neat and clean. Very much satisfied.

The cottages here are very clean and hotel staff is also very courteous. Food preparation and service was awesome. Very quiet and beautiful place to stay for the weekend. Regarding the amenities, i would say the Swimming pool was not cleaned like forever. Overall, it was a very good stay and i would recommend it for a quiet weekend.

Had some difficulty in finding the place as it was far off from the highway but it was a good staying experience for 1 night. People who like to explore hidden places and peaceful stay would appreciate it!

Location & calmness of the surrounding are the plus points. However lack of WiFi internet & Bar is the drawback. Overall a good hotel during summer holidays.
