Purple Palms Resort & Spa

This Resort is located on the Jattipalla - Kanakapura Road, which ensures ease of access to us. Since it is also situated less than 500 meters from Kaveri Nisargadama, it allows us to take a short walk and reach one of the famous tourist destinations in Coorg. Nisargadatta is certainly a place that can keep us and our kids engaged for at least 2-3 hours, if not more. Though the property is situated on the main road, the rooms are located quite away from the road, which ensures peace and quiet in the rooms. The view from our room is panoramic and it lets us enjoy the evening rains in the comfort of our room, while sipping a coffee and the complimentary evening snacks. The room where we stayed was clean and very well maintained. The trees, shrubs, bushes at the Resort seemed to have planed with meticulous planning and they are being cared for with great attention. This gives us lots of places within the Resort to take selfies. Though some minor construction activities were going on near our room, they made sure that we were not disturbed by it.The breakfast buffet offered at the Restaurant in the Resort had a wide variety of dishes covering continental, South and North Indian dishes. They also had a live counter where you could get eggs and dosas, which were served swiftly. The dosas were crispy in the middle and soft at the ends. They made sure that they did not compromise on the taste of any of the food items despite serving several varieties of them. We ordered some food items through room service for lunch and dinner from this Restaurant. They has some authentic Kodagu food items like Coorg koli curry. The desserts offered by them were also good. However, the sea food items we had had at this place was not up to the mark.The staff were courteous, friendly and helped with all our needs. The Resort provides you with affordable tour packages. Our driver Prashanth made sure that we could visit all the primary tourist attractions near Madikeri, which were available during our stay. (Since we stayed here during Dusshera holidays, some of the tourist places were closed to prevent over-crowding and spread of COVID-19, I was told.) Visiting Mandalpatti, while on Coorg is a must. For this, we had to hire a jeep. Despite heavy demand, Prashanth was able to hire a jeep for us to visit Mandalpatti. Until he could hire a jeep, he kept us occupied by taking us to some tourist spots and also to some shopping areas. Thanks to him, we had an exciting and a pleasant trip to Madikeri and Mandalpatti.Overall, this Resort helps you provide an all-round experience at Coorg. This is a good place to relax, wind down and have some fun with family and friends.

Stayed here for a night. It is located along the highway. There is ample parking space as well We chose a courtyard room which overlooks the garden. The room is big with queen size bed, large wardrobe, a mini-fridge, a large sofa and a study table. As is with a true resort, they provided with toiletries. There is 24 hr hot water supply. There is in-house fitness centre, a swimming pool, a recreational room all of which are open from 8 am to 8 pm. There is a children's play area as well. The restaurant is open from 7.30 am to 10.30 am, with room service available 24 hrs, with snack items available post 10.30 pm. For dinner we tried their assorted vegetable pakora platter of banana, potato, onion and Brinjal fritters served with mint chutney; crispy fried chicken served along fries and mayonnaise; chicken Manchow soup and chicken Biriyani served with raitha. The crispy fried chicken was very oily and Manchow soup was just okay. The other two items were good with chicken biriyani served with boneless chicken pieces upon request. They do have buffet option for dinner priced at ₹899 with good options as well. Breakfast is complimentary with good option as well which included idli, vada with two types of chutneys, dosa items, egg items, pan cakes, Puri and potato curry, chicken sausage, cut fruits, upma, carrot halwa, potato wedges, etc. Breakfast spread was very good. Overall we liked the stay a lot and worthy. They have a spa as well with good options from ayurvedic and western treatment. room amenities and the overall ambience

this was my 4 th visit to coorg and have tried homestays, hotels, resorts, but this was by far the best experience I had so far. we stayed at the resort for 2 nights and 3 days and enjoyed every bit of it.Food - 10/10 All the tourist places were closed due to covid and so were all the hotels in kushalnagar, we were skeptical of how food will be at purple palms. Day 1 we ordered basic food for lunch and it did not disappoint, food was fresh and well prepared. Dinner was outstanding, we have not had a tastier paneer gravy down south even in Bangalore. Buffet breakfast was amazing, good selection and well prepared, live kitchen was also exceptional. Day 2 we tried local cuisine as suggested by the staff and it was really very nice. food is a must try even if one is not staying in the resort.Accommodation - 10/10, rooms were spacious and clean and were sanitized on arrival. Extra bedding was available on request. Staff - 10/10 - staff was courteous and polite. Room service was fast and efficient. Due to covid we asked the staff to take off shoes while entering the room and they did not resist and followed same, unlike the last resort where the staff resisted and took it lightly.Location - location of the resort is superb. Nisargdham is just 500 Mts, Udupi restaurant is also within 2 Kms, local art and craft shops are also in close proximity, with 1 Kms. dubare elephant camp is 11 Kms.overall had a great stay and experience at purple palms. highly recommended.

We had stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in the month of August. The Property is beautiful and well maintained and super clean. The best part of the trip was 1. The Staff- Friendly and courteous. From the time of checking in to room service and service at the Restaurant, everyone was courteous and helpful in making our stay memorable. 2. Food - The best that we ever had!!! We had checked comments earlier on this, but we now had the first hand experience of the same. Every meal that we ordered at the Restaurant/Room service was really tasty. 5 Stars to team of chefs in charge. (We wanted to try other places for food, but always ended up at the Resort for the tasty meal:)!! The Property is well maintained and looks even more beautiful during the rainy season. Highly recommendable to all!! Thank you Purple Palm resort team for making our stay a memorable one!!
