THE OCEAN PEARL RESORT AND SPA

We stayed at the Ocean Pearl Resort & Spa, Dharwad on our road trip from Mumbai-Bangalore on 21 / 22 Feb 2020 in Amenities facing room no 209. Though originally we had been allotted Room no 202, on request, reception team, Mr Manjunath-Bharath shifted us to pool facing room. All facilities, decor, Ambience, mattress in the specious room top class. Staff is very Co-ordial & helpful. After long road journey from Mumbai, we wanted good meal & we were pleasantly surprised to get Rajasthani restaurant in the resort & chief chef Mr Pankaj ensured the vegetarian dish as per our taste. Our special request for car cleaning was also met happily by the front desk team. Though it was our stop over stay for two nights, Mr Manjunath, helped us with nearby places of interest & recommended Badami caves which turned out to be a wonderful experience. We also enjoyed our two days breakfast with very good service at Jazz Restaurant (can’t remember staff name). Overall it was our wonderful 2 nights experience of The Ocean Spa & Resort, Dharwad. It’s money’s worth except only one negative point is it’s right across rail tracks hence you get to hear occasional horn of passing trains. Based on our experience, we can surely say that we found Pearl in the Ocean on our road trip from Mumbai-Bangaluru.

We a group of friends stayed in various types of room. Cottage, Suite & family rooms, The cottage: very good room, the bathroom 🛀 has a jacuzzi; The suite, this is the best room, has living area, bed room with king size bed & good bathroom with a bathtub; The family rooms are a little wired in design. There’s a living room & bath room & the queen size bed is placed in the mezzanine floor. So you have to climb stairs to go to sleep & climb one floor down & up, each time you want to go to the loo 🚽 We couldn’t go to the main restaurant as it was occupied by a wedding party. We were served lunch at a non ac lounge bar which was very hot in the afternoon. The food was excellent both taste & quantity wise. Only the rice 🍚 was cooked with baking soda to make us fill full? Some of us had an issue with that The breakfast was good Feel they must have both restaurants air conditioned

The staff was very courteous; the property is neat, clean, peaceful. The room was beautiful in terms of interiors, antique furniture styling, the bed & linen were of very good quality. The only downside was, the quality of breakfast served. Not that it is deal breaker
