This hotel was my favorite from my entire India experience! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They didn't give me complimentary airport transport and my a/c didn't work, knew this going in, no surprise. However, they did watch out for me being a solo female traveler and provided me valuable guide information. I really enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere, food and the view of the fort. I thoroughly enjoyed the desert overnight safari. Although, I missed the mark on exactly what the experience was supposed to be. My mistake! I feel so bad because I can't remember the gentlemen's names that drove me to the desert or the man that took me out with the camel. I couldn't do the 1.5 hr camel trek, so they tweaked it to 30 min. I had the best food that night from the 2 guides in the desert!! Delicious and lots of hard work. The guys were total professionals and very entertaining! My camel was very gentle and well behaved. Unfortunately, I had a spaz moment in the desert. These large scareb like bugs were everywhere!! They weren't going to hurt me, they were just crawling all around and over my bed pad. Yuc!! I tried to fall asleep in the wonderful desert with the stars all around me but I just couldn't do it. I woke the guys up and told them I wanted to go back to the hotel, 45 min away. They were a bit shocked but immediately jumped into action, packed everything up and we started down the road. They were so kind. They offered for me to stay at the sky view Tented Campsite. It was an amazing desert camp ground with tile floors, wood bedroom furniture and a huge bathroom inside. The grounds were stunning, complete with a water fountain. It wasn't on at the time but it was lovely and well kept. Would have been a lovely place to have stayed with my husband. In the morning, my guide woke me up for the incredible sunrise with hot tea and we drive back to the desert for breakfast. My cook had gone home the night before because I had wanted to leave. So, we had an impromptu brekkie! It was wonderful. I can't say enough lovely comments about this place and the people. I hope to go back and actually spend the night in the desert!! Ps. After the desert safari, the hotel let me shower up before heading to the airport
I recently had an 1N / 2 D to Jaisalmer booked by Sky Desert Safari Camp. Mr . Hanif arranged the entire trip and made it very exciting and memorable trip. With Mr Hanif our guide and tour manager was there from the station to pick up to drop. The first day stayed at the tent with all Royal treatment with Camel Safari , Folk and Bollywood Songs in Rajasthani folk style and the Rajasthani Food. The location of Sky Desert Safari Camp is very good , its not near to any of the other resorts its quite but at the same time walk able to the Sam Dunes. The dinner was very good with Rajasthani delicacies Ker Sangri, Dahi Pakodi.etc . The tents are clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are also clean. Of course you can expect some of the insects in desert but you can always ignore. They can also arrange a dinner at the Sand Dunes but with extra money as those are not included in the package. In the night it was amazing with clear sky .. the stars seen were amazing. Next day morning had early breakfast and then the best part an extended Jeep Safari which was awesome. During the jeep safari also interacted with some of the local villagers and took farm fresh watermelon .. which was amazing. After check out from Desert Camp headed to the haunted village, Mr Hanif explained well about the Village and its history and some spots where golds were found, we were not lucky though. :) Our next day stay was arranged in Amazing property Rang Mahal. Its bit far from city center but the property is amazing its like a Palace on its own. During our stay in Jaisalmer we had our Lunch and Dinner in Shahi Palace the food is excellent and the view from the roof top restaurant is amazing. The Sonar Qilla has a amazing view from the top hotel. Well I can keep writing about the other experiences but I wil cut short . The entire trip was good. Mr. Hanif us very well and provided all the facilities in our stay. Thank you for that. One more point I forgot to mention all the things were provided at a very affordable price compared to some of the other Desert camps Provider.
We were cordially greeted b our host Hanif and his family, and it was an instant friendship. Thex care a lot about their guests and we felt like we were at home. The place felt very safe, and we enjoyed sitting at the terrace facing the fort. The room was great, we had aircon and unlimited complimentary water bottles, which was a lovely touch. The crepes with nutella were also above expectations (: as a part of our tour,we booked the desert safari from the same place. We were picked up from Hotel Sky View Jaisalmer hotel (where we left our luggage) by our friendly driver E.K. who took us to the Thar desert. Over there the camels were already saddled and were waiting for us to ride them. we rode the camels to our desert camp, where we had chai masala and a lovely dinner. Followed by the sunset and a lively discussion with our hosts about the life of the locals in the nearby villages (we are very curious), we got our beds ready nearby, to enjoy the starry skies in privacy (we were the only guests that night). The next morning, after the sunrise, we had a short ride on our camels and were dropped off back to our hotel. The guys were very polite and kind, we felt safe as they had two dogs, there were almost no bugs, the temperature was just perfect. We highly recommend this hotel and the desert safari.
We had gone for a family trip to Jaisalmer during the Holidays. I had booked a double room in Hotel Sky View based on the review of other travelers in ****. Given that Jaisalmer was full of tourists visiting during the holidays and limited number of hotels there,we did not have much expectations. But we were happy to visit the place. The Hotel is right on the main road, facing the rear-side of the Golden Fort, is a newly constructed one. The design is haveli-style but with modern amenities. We met the young Manager Mr. Hanif in the reception and he helped us to complete the formalities. We were made to feel very comfortable in all respects. The room was large enough and all the furniture and fixtures were of good quality. The bathroom was also large and with a bathtub which we really enjoyed, having a lavish bath after a grueling train journey for 14 hours. The food offered on the menu was not really exhaustive but it satiated our need for clean and homely food, served piping hot. The dining area on the rooftop is also nice and the attendants are really keen to serve you well. Over-all our stay in Hotel Sky View was a good one and would recommend anyone to try it out.
A truly amazing experience. I would like to thank piyushji for making our stay comfortable and memorable . I recommend this hotel to everyone travelling to jaisalmer Food was great. Service was good but there is little scope for improvement. Rooms was neat, tidy and spacious. The staff was cooperative. They have a roof top restaurant with view of the palace. The hotel is road touch and have parking facility. They also provide free wifi for the guest. Interiors of the hotel are also great and shows the royalties of jaisalmer and rajasthan. piyushji is very cooperative and helpful person. He guided us with how we can visit the border, about taking prior permission. He also warned us about staying at camps in off season. We had wonderful experience at this hotel. Thanks to sky view and their team. highly recommend without any doubt.
The hotel is located in the centre of Jaisalmer so that one can walk to the lake, to the market and to the fort within 10 minutes. The hosts were very friendly and helped us a lot with infos about the city, running errands from the market and so on. The were extraordinary hosts! Our highlight was the trip to the desert with Sky View Jaisalmer. We were riding through the desert on camels for maybe two hours (non touristic - we didn't even see other tourists) Then our two guides cooked a very good Indian meal and Chai for us on a campfire and after that we slept under the starry sky. It was organised very well and I just would recommend this to everybody who visits Jaisalmer.

Checked into Royal Orchid Whitefield Suites today evening. The hotel is pathetic. The rooms are small, with even smaller beds. Went to the restaurant for buffet and there was hardly anything that was available in the dishes. Did not bother to even refill after several requests, What was remaining was absolutely cold. Asked for speaking to the manager who didn't even have the courtesy to call or come and meet despite several reminders. Asked for a dental kit and it has not come even an hour after the request! It is a pathetic hotel with even more pathetic and unprofessional staff. After this experience am sure will never stay in any Royal Orchid hotel!!!
I stayed for 2 nights and were two couples. Hotel is well maintained, excellent interior, Tub bath, Sony LED TV, nice blankets. The staff is also very cooperative. Mr. hanif the manger in - charge helped us with the area nearby. I needed additional special sweets from market. hanif was on the way and he helped me to get the sweets. Such service made us feel very homely. We also visited back from sand dues and stayed for half day again. Since the rates were high for half day spot booking, I booked through Goibobo app (suggested by hanif) and got good discount as well. Its very near to all spots and railway stations as well. Recommended for stay.
The daily breakfast was fantastic! They had good/ comfortable baby eating chairs available for the little ones. When a fresh dish was made the serving staff brought them freshly for you to pick at your table! This was very nice! - The staff was very friendly and helpful. English was only spoken by a few but we managed to get around that, most of the check-in staff did speak fluent English which was very comforting. - The room was bigger than what we had expected and just perfect when travelling with a baby that can't sit still.
This is a small hotel having nearly 5 - 6 rooms. So, you get all the attention you require during stay from the staffs. Location is just beside the bus stand nearly 500m from Jaisalmer Fort. The rooms are of more than sufficient size. Cleanliness was not an issue. I highly appreciate the hospitality of Hanif(Owner of Hotel). He is a very cooperative person Pick-up and drop off service was provided. Since,it is a very small place. So, you can't talk loudly after 10PM otherwise lot of person will be disturbed.
Galeria Hostel is a very nice place. The team there is welcoming and really helpful. Breakfast is good and the common areas are pleasant. The breakfast was awesome and the staff was really nice and helpful. I would totally recomment this hostel.
