The Alpine Nest Hotel

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a business trip in the month of September. This hotel was just recently opened a month back. The owner of the property Mr. Devi Singh is a humble learned man and will take care of all your needs during your stay. He also guides very well about the local area. You can ask him for genuine shops for buying local items and other questions about the area. Coming to the hotel amenities, it gets very cold at night so you dont need any fan/AC in this area thus the rooms dont have fans or AC. You have to keep in mind that the place where this is located is not a main stream tourist destination with 5 star properties. So the rooms are pretty basic but they are clean and maintained. The tap water is chilled naturally so the geyser will take half an hour to heat up the water properly. Food - They have in house restaurant and the cook is also good. Prefer vegetarian food in this area as non veg is hardly fresh in this region. Tasty food. But talk to the owner before hand about breakfast if he will provide complimentary or not. Also, you have to inform in the morning about your dinner plans so that raw material could be brought accordingly. Apples- If you're in Kinnaur district you have to take Kinnaur apples with you. They are very good. So the owner of this place has his own Apple orchards so if you want top quality unpolished genuinely good Apples, inform Mr. Devi Singh before coming he will pluck fresh apples for you and get them packed as per your requirement . Overall this place gives you a homely feeling. The whole experience is very personalised. The staff is also caring and good. They will listen to your special needs, if any. Dont forget to visit the terrace and get snow covered mountains view. Enjoy your stay in this beautiful small town Reckong Peo and take back good memories. Cheers.

After spending more than 3500/- for 2 nights, it was a very ugly experience at this hotel. Only 1st floor is operational which has a narrow passage in the middle and small rooms on both sides. Bathrooms are so small and suffocating. It has 15 litre greaser which is barely sufficient for one person at a cold place. Actually it is run by a retired person for timepass and not by a professional. Single service boy. Food are not tasty and are served just to fill your stomach. Never stay at this hotel if you don't want to feel like cheated. Very bad, explore other options. Small geaser of 15 litres are fitted in tiny bathrooms which are very difficult to manage with family. You can't bend in bathrooms and taking bath is very difficult. Rooms are also very small and feels like punished and locked. Food quality is bad. Privacy issue is there, sounds from other rooms can be easly heard in your room even after locking. Very bad and dirty experience. Never go there.

I recently stayed at this property and had a generally okay experience. While the location was convenient and the staff were friendly, there were a couple of issues that stood out. Unfortunately, the linens in the room were not clean, which was disappointing. Additionally, the TV wasn’t working during my stay, which was a bit of an inconvenience. Overall, it wasn’t the worst experience, but there were some areas that could definitely be improved.

Nice stay good experience. The owner was very co operative old man. very active. I had booked for dormitory. Stay was comfortable. Each dormitory bed is like a cabin. 6 beds has 1 common bathroom.. Heater available. The restaurant food was good . A little bit costly. Overall a very good experience
