It is located in walking distance to Victoria Memorial, Birla Planetarium and other places to visit. The place was originally built in 1905 and hence gives a very special feeling. We stayed in heritage suite and it literally took us back in time with modern amenities! Service is also really good and staff is very cooperative. The in-house restaurant has fresh food and at reasonable rates. Rooms might be at a high end price , but the location justifies it. 👍🏻 Just one thing to note: It doesn't have elevator 🛗 (lift).

Great hotel, its a heritage property so some rooms have no windows. But the room quality is good. They even changed our room on request as we did not like the originally assigned room. The food is also decent enough. Service can be slightly improved, had to ask for stuff which should be provided without asking. No business center but the reception was helpful in solving that issue. Overall great experience, fantastic location!

The stay experience with the astor was splendid. It is one of the best hotel in kolkata as it's interiors are antique and take us in the past. The service and amenities was really good and the food was really tasty. One should really try this hotel when they visit to kolkata. The service, location, room and food.
