It was a memorable experience staying at Citadel. The hotel is located on a secluded hilltop and reaching there itself could be a nightmare; especially if you reach the locality after 6 PM. But once you reach there, you will find it worthy. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The location is excellent with awesome views that you may not find in over-crowded Dharamshala town. Food options are limited in buffet but that is acceptable considering the terrain and demand-supply relationship. The hotel staff will arrange for local sight-seeing, on request at a reasonable price. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at a secluded place in the lap of nature. However, just ensure to bring your own vehicle else reachability would be an issue.

Hotel is nearly 30km away from Dharmshala and on dharamshala Palampur road. There are two roads to reach hotel, one from Chamunda devi side is a Village Road . The condition of the road is not good. Other side rd from Palampur is good. It took nearly 1.20 hrs to reach hotel from Dharmshala. Location is very good.staff is very cooperative. They take dinner order by 9 pm . I suggest to book the hotel for one day if you want to visit Mcleod-Ganj on next day. If you want to stay away from rush/traffic then this place is very good.

Lovely hotel on top of the hill!. Staff is friendly and courteous. The hotel has an amazing location from which you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley. The food is good and sumptuous and the view from the restaurant is absolutely worth it. Having a cup of hot coffee with the snow capped mountains just next to you is surely one of the best feelings. The only drawback is that the rooms are a little small and the hotel can be a real pain to locate as not many are aware about the exact location of the hotel.

Hotel is located in a very nice location with peaceful environment. The rooms have a very nice view of Himalayan range surrounding the hotel and a small river flowing by. Staff is quiet helpful, courteous in all aspects and displayed through professionalism throughout. Taxis arranged by the hotel are of reasonable price with friendly drivers guiding us. Food is good, tasty and reasonably priced.

Rooms were good and spacious with small balcony. Breakfast and dinner both were nice. Buffet menu have less options but food was good. we reached in restaurant area for dinner by 9 and starters were not in condition to eat. Resort has recreation area which is good. location is good for those who want to stay away from city. Beware of insects in evening.

Our room did not have proper view as it was located in basement, so just make sure you inform people about that. Thats the only thing that hit our mind when we entered. Nice hotel, great hospitality and is located in picturesque sorrounding with Beautiful Dhaula Dhar mountains. Though the resort is remotely located, access is available with transport (cab) facility arranged by resort management. There are no restaurants in the vicinity and food option is limited here but tasty!

Rooms need little maintenance, staff is very courteous, food is good, buffet breakfast , lunch and dinner need improvement. This property is only for peace full lover ....guest who want to stay in market, or social place please avoid.
