The hotel is located almost in the heart of the City and i dead close to kalighat / gariahat / Victoria memorial / birla temple / quest mall / part street.The hotel is bang opposite to IDFC bank. It is a stand alone building which used to be a home in the past. That home was carefully transformed into a quite little cafe / hotel.There are 9 to 10 rooms only. And each room has been uniquely furnished with antique furnitures from the British era. Yes the rooms are a bit small but one can easliy fit an extra bed and still have space. The bathrooms are well thought out and are fitted with excellent fixtures as which you can see from the photos offered by the hotel. The best thing here is the staff. They are super friendly and are eager to tend to all of your needs. In my stay they were very very accommodating and proactive. The room tariffs are pretty reasonable too. The breakfast (though not served through buffet) was mouth watering and some of the best english dishes i have ever had. Reason for 4 stars: the only drawback in the experience was the maintenance. The rooms are not maintained upto the mark. Some of the issues which i faced was:1. Broken toilet seat cover.2. Air conditioner not very cold.3. Toilet latch not locking properly.4. And LOTS OF MOSQUITOS.5. Broken soap dish6. Unavailability of Lift. However, the staff's proactiveness and positive attityde made up for these issues. They were more than ready to fix these issues once pointed out and always wore a reassuring smile.Cheers!

Room was okay not that big. good ambiance but less lighting. staff are good. main issue is the food menu. no indian food so, if there are not so young people in our group you may face difficulties in finding the right food as they have a cafe below. They don"t allow much to sit comfortably in the cafe with breakfast or tea. they serve to room but as we book rooms for the ambiance so we should be invited to enjoy the food in the cafe.

Hotel stay was amazing. It's a restored 19th century colonial bunglow with full antique vibe due to its furniture and ambience. Staff was generous and pretty helpful. We had a flight in evening so they let us wait in lobby with our luggage. They have their own restaurant if you want to have food inside. Location is prime with multiple restaurant and metro station in walking distance.

It was good to stay over there but the food was little disappointing, only bread omelet was available in the breakfast every day. Service was nice and location was perfect. No problem regarding any thing over there. Hotel is very neat and clean.

just awesome 😀. friendly staff. clean room. the food is just awesome any day I would recommend this place for family/couples. this place has an vintage vibe all together starting from the door latch to the mirror to the bed and even the chairs.

A hotel with just 7 rooms, is nice and d cosy in over 100 years old building. Well managed and with good food. Though food available is global and not Indian. Located in south Kolkata not very far from most tourist spots.

Lovely old world charm...resturant is particularly mazing with the decor. rooms have four poster beds which add to the charm. terrace is mazing , though service is slightly slow.
