This is to bring in notice of you that I have booked a hotel with two rooms named The Silver Oak Homestay for 30th Dec, 2020 in Shimla. The standard check in time was at 12 noon. But as our bus dropped us early in the morning I went there with my family to request an early check in.Upon reaching I found out there's no electric at the hotel and the guy told us that he has no idea when the electricity will come. I politely tried to tell him that we paid money for all the facilities like geyser, light etc. how can we get fresh to explore Shimla if he cant provide the geyser facility? One can't take a shower with cold water in a temperature like 1 degree or 2 degree. All of a sudden after hearing this from me he told me that he has been doing a favor by letting us check in early but now he can't do that and we should move away from his premises. His way of speech was so rude and inhumane that even I couldn't control my temper, I told him we're your guest how can you tell us to get out from your premises? But as soon as he saw me doing a video HE PICKED UP A STICK TO BEAT ME UP. Even he touched and pushed me on my chest and hand. I have the video with me as proof. I immediately moved out from that crazy man's property and searched another hotel manually, because I completely lost all faith and checked in to a different hotel for two rooms, which was actually an extra burden for us, we were not ready for this.I booked that previous hotel for ...INR and now all my monies are gone. already we lost 1 hour with all these harassments, besides we had to explore Shimla within a day of time.

The room was not big enough and hence it was not comfortable also. Cleanliness of the room and the washroom was not that great. we have asked for a mattress, and the mattress that they have provided was not at all clean. Proper drinking water is also not available in the property. Upon asking mineral water that have arranged from outside. Food service is not available in the property. However the caretaker's conduct was good. The location of the property is not difficult to locate.

It is close the shimla airport by walk down the hill even airport pick and drop is also available. The owner is nicest person I have ever seen in hotel industry. His hospitality is like you feel yourself in your own home. I dont feel like i was with strangers. The morning tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner is home made by the owner (Uncle ji). He is chatter and i love to had chat on tea on with him. I was solo and felt like i was in heaven and safest place.

It’s a great place to stay. It was the best experience staying there. Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained.Staff was extremely friendly. Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambiance. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again. Safe and secure.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visting I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!

it was an excellent stay; felt like home. worth every penny that i spent. most of all, the staff is excellent. it's a small place with 5 rooms and 1 dormitory but taken care excellently. prices are reasonable. good for those who don't like the hustle and bustle of city and want to stay in a calm place which should be like a home away from home. loved it.
