It's definitely one of the experiences you wont regret shedding your money for...every bit of it is worth the price you pay. Property - It's a lush green property in 180 acres..you can hear the birds chirping all day and enjoy the numerous waterfalls along the way. Activities to do- 1. Definitely take the guided plantation tours and learn about interesting nature facts from professional naturalist. 2. Please don't miss out on the trek..it's early morning at 7am and there's 2 of them- the short one (4km) and the long one (8.5 km). I would recommend the long one. Our guide Hemalatha was extremely passionate about nature and she told us about the culture, food, flora and fauna along the way. It's very foggy in the morning which makes the trek even more attractive. 3. Coffee Brew Session- A very interesting session on coffee brewing right from the coffee trees to coffee in your cup. You get to grind coffee beans and have freshly made coffee right infront of your eyes. They also have a souvenier shop "the verandah" where you can shop indigenous skin products, great honey, books, collectables. 4. Spa and Pool They have an amazing spa with lots of options to choose from and adjacent to it is a huge pool where you can take a dip with nature. There are lots of other options like basketball court, lawn tennis etc etc. Food - We took the all meals included package and i would recommend the same. The food is just incredible...there is not a single dish i would say that was not good. They have a very elaborate array of options ranging from indian to continental to pan asian. They also have local coorg dishes from the region which just the icing you look for in a cake Hospitality- I have been to many 5 star hotels and i can tell you the hospital Tamara folks have shown is unmatched. Every time you cross a staff casually they will greet you with a smile and namaste. In the restaurant the staff will repeatedly come to you introduce themselves and try to build an emotional connect. Very approachable staff and it felt like home, felt like i know these folks from years. Privacy- The cottages are very well built and ensures that you enjoy your complete privacy during your stay. If you go as a couple you will truly feel you are all by yourself in the lap of a huge jungle. Rooms- The design of the cottages and the aesthetics are just wow. You can enjoy all the amenities of a five star hotel even in the middle of a plantation. Every cottages has a huge balcony with seating arrangements and an unobstructed view in-front. At night it truly feels serene and you enjoy nature in its true dark form. Thank you Tamara for making our stay incredible. I went there for my first wedding anniversary and there's nothing more i could ask for. It feels i took a piece of Tamara with me in my heart. One last tip - please try to explore the property at night. It's an unforgettable experience. It just feels you are transported into a different world where it's only you, your partner and nature.

We,a couple, stayed in The Tamara Coorg from 15th March to 18 March 2022.Right from the check-in to check-out experience was top notch.The Tamara Coorg property is an upscaled 5 star property in every possible sense.The wooden huts in the resort are built by N Mahesh, an acclaimed architecture,in Bali style .We booked a luxury category cottage.We were served Bella Coffee(A traditional Karnataka Coffee made with Jaggery, Cardamon and Cinnamon) on arrival as a welcome drink.It was rejuvenating and refreshing.The check in experience was super smooth.Though the official check-in time was 2:00P.M. but we informed them that we will be arriving early,they were kind enough to let us an early check-in.The resort is built in 184 acres of dense forest cover land and boasts of an in house restaurant named 'The Falls",two temperature controlled swimming pools(i.e.one indoor and one outdoor) with each having 4 feet depth,plethora of unpaid and paid activities such as bird watching,star gazing,trekking,coffee plantation tour,live music,plantation tour,zumba,spa etc.What impressed me the most is their detailing and eco friendly approach in each and everything.They use their own electric baggies for catering to varieties of guest's needs be it room service,housekeeping,taking and dropping guests to different spots in the property.They gave jute slippers,even the toothbrush in the dental kit was wooden.They have literally zeroed down the use of plastic in their property.We opted for CP plan. The breakfast buffet spread was good.We dinned in their in house restaurant thrice.We ordered Coorg curry,mushroom masala curry,kadhai paneer,curd rice,veg hakka noodles,veg pulao,garlic naan,stuffed kulchas and akki roti.The portion size,quality,taste,hygiene and presentation each and everything was top class.The chef customized certain dishes on our request.The housekeeping staff was utterly professional and on our beck and call.The sunrise and sunset experience in the resort is to die for.The bird's chirping sound in the early morning and around and after sunset is therapeutic and soothing.If one wishes to unwind and detoxify oneself then look nowhere else other than this resort.The view from our cottage was surreal and mesmerizing.Hands down,one of the best and untainted property not just in Coorg but Pan-India.The Tamara Coorg puts all superlative to dust.We would love to come and stay again.Guys do yourself a favour come and stay in The Tamara Coorg and bask in the lifetime experience.

Amazing experience at Tamara.. Natural beauty with cofee plantation, spices plantation, white crystal clear waterfall flowing amidst green forest. Very supportive staff. would like to share 2 experiences: 1) We forgot our two bags in one of the resort in Madekeri, the staff at Tamara helped us to get our bags safe and in time to our room, great efforts and coordination from their end. It was impressive.They helped us to forget all our worries and helped us to enjoy the natural beauty of Tamara. 2) We had a flight from Bangalore and our car driver was late by 3 hours, we were supposed to checkout at 11 but waiting for the driver, we actually left from Tamara at 2 pm, and it was a 7 hours travel to Bangalore and we almost thought we would miss our flight. The staff at Tamara helped us in arranging a car for some miles free of cost and gave their best possible services in crisis. dinner lunches and breakfast with family
