Hotel Vijay Shree

The first impression didn't turn out to be its last impression! Infrawise it's a big hotel, spacious rooms, certain unexpected amenities at a place like Shahdol viz- mini toiletry kit, washroom sleepers, automated shoe brush machine in lobby area which were impressive! But then hot and cold water facility were inconsistent throughout the rooms! CardLock facility didnt work for our one of the rooms, morning teakit and kettle could hv been provided - because the biggest reason to rate low was inefficient room service! In room dining proves of no use if simple services of tea and breakfast take long that we were delayed over 2 hours! Food at in-house restaurant wasn't a great experience! Food ordered for dinner either tasted extra salty or certain items tasted stale and unexpected! There is a lot of scope of improvement in overall hospitality management of the hotel to become one of the famous hotels of Shahdol!

Poor restaurant service, rooms quite good but checkout policy very poor. They don't allow late checkout for even 1 hr and will keep ringing reminding to check out. One won't leave with a good note after checking out.

overall it was a descent experience but one thing that I would like to improve is the high charge. paid 2000/- per night and it seemed bit higher for this 3 star hotel. Privacy was given.

I find hotel very near to the bus stand and even the behaviour of the staff was so cool and well mannered. Rooms are so spacious and neat n clean. I found the stay value for money.
