WOODS AT SASAN

Probably the best resort I have ever been to! The staff is very professional and their attention to the little details is fantastic. They anticipate your smallest need and are ready with a solution even before you can think of it! They truly care. I have stayed in marquee brand hotels and the staff here is a notch above in every way. Right from the security staff to the gardners, waiters, chefs etc everyone is knowledgeable and warm. The property itself is set in a mango orchard. It is beautifully designed with locally sourced materials. Simple, tasteful, elegant and luxurious. The surroundings are green and well maintained. The swimming pool and all facilities are top notch. The Swadesh Restaurant serves local Gujarati cuisine and we loved it. The chef takes personal interest in your preferences and tries to customize. The resort also organizes evening cultural events for the entertainment of guests. This too is quite classy as the management takes care in selecting the right acts for its guests. All in all a great experience! It is a little expensive, but that is to be expected from a truly world class resort like this. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little more for true world class luxury. If you appreciate the finer things, then do spend a few days here.

The really need to up their game from the service end! .. absolute let down (except the Gujarati Restaurant which is actually delightful)! We paid ..for one room. The room category got upgraded!! But we were given the room at 5pm!!! We had taken an eight hour long journey with 2 young kids only to find out that our rooms were not ready! The evening entertainment got cancelled!!!! So there was nothing to look forward to post 8 pm!!! The management at Terracotta restaurant is an absolute let down! The staff have no clue of what's going on ... They were even running out of food , most of the evening(there weren't more than 50 people dining at a time!) My cook and staff can manage a dinner party of 50 people flawlessly!!! Absolutely disappointed! The hot water in the bathrooms kept running out!! I don't expect that when I am paying thru my nose for staying at a hotel! On the plus side- the rooms are decorated very tastefully, sourcing things locally! The landscaping of the property has been done well! The Gujarati Restaurant is a total heart winner!!! In all- A very overpriced stay and extremely poor service ..

Enjoyed our stay at Woods , Sasan . Visited during monsoon season so the atmosphere here was superb . Lush greenery , surrounded by the dense rainforest of Sasan Gir. Away from the noise of concrete jungle, the only thing you can hear in the morning is the chirping of birds and tiny drops of water on plants which looks surreal. Well maintained property with supportive staff and good service. Food was good too with 3 restaurants. They have various activities including eco trail, cycling, , fishing, yogashala ,Fitness Room , Infinity Pool, trekking and nature walk , Pottery session, Farming exploration , Etc . One can choose any of these activities according to their hobby and taste . Overall we had a peaceful outing with family in a well maintained 5-star worthy resort surrounded with nature . Yes , not to forget the musical evening during dining and melodious Flute play during breakfast hours... !
