Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated Travellers

Covid test rules:

  • Travellers are required to present a valid certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure and not more than 9 months (270 days). Thereafter, the vaccine certificate must reflect a vaccine booster.
  • Fully vaccinated travellers are exempted from pre-departure and on arrival testing.
  • Those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 within the EU (European Union) are exempt from all kinds of testing requirements. Travellers may provide proof of a positive test, issued at least 11 days before departure and not more than 180 days.

Common Guidelines

for All Incoming Travellers

NEW guidelines for all travellers arriving in India:

Planning Travel

  • 1) All travellers should preferably be fully vaccinated as per the approved primary schedule of vaccination against COVID-19 in their country.
  • 2) Pre-departure COVID-19 testing and uploading Self-Health Declaration on Ministry of Civil Aviation's 'Air Suvidha' portal will no longer be required for international travellers coming from/via China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan, from 13th Feb 2023, 11 a.m. However, the present exercise of random testing of 2% travellers to India (irrespective of country of origin) upon arrival in India shall continue.

During Travel

  • 1) Any passenger having symptoms of COVID-19 during travel shall be isolated as per the standard protocol i.e. the said passenger should be wearing mask, isolated and segregated from other passengers in flight/travel and shifted to an isolation facility subsequently for follow up treatment.
  • 2) In-flight announcement about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic including precautionary measures to be followed (preferable use of masks and following physical distancing) shall be made in flights/travel and at all points of entry.

On Arrival

  1. De-boarding should be done ensuring physical distancing.
  2. Thermal screening should be done for all the passengers by the health officials present at the airport/point of entry.
  3. The passengers found to be symptomatic during screening shall be immediately isolated, taken to a designated medical facility as per health protocol (as above).
  4. The following protocol post arrival shall also be followed:
    • a) A sub-section (2% of the total passengers** in all incoming international flights) shall undergo random post arrival testing at the airport on arrival, irrespective of port of departure. Children under 12 years of age are exempted from post-arrival random testing. However, if found symptomatic for COVID-19 on arrival or during the period of self-monitoring, they shall undergo testing and be treated as per laid down protocol.
    • b) Such travellers in each flight shall be identified by the concerned airlines (preferably from different countries). They will submit the samples and shall be allowed to leave the airport thereafter.
    • c) If such travellers’ samples are tested positive, their samples should be further sent for genomic testing at INSACOG laboratory network.
    • d) They shall be treated/isolated as per laid down standard protocol.
  5. All travellers shall self-monitor their health post arrival also and report to their nearest health facility or call National helpline number (1075)/ State Helpline Number in case they have any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19.

** Children under 12 years of age are exempted from post-arrival random testing. However, if found symptomatic for COVID-19 on arrival or during the period of self-monitoring, they shall undergo testing and be treated as per laid down protocol.

Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated Travellers

COVID Test Rules:

  • Vaccination: Fully vaccinated travellers (except children below 5 years) must carry a valid vaccination certificate, showing they have been administered with the second dose or a booster dose at least 14 days prior to departure.
  • Pre-departure test: Fully vaccinated travellers do not need to carry a negative RT-PCR test report.
  • On arrival test: While arriving at entry points in Indonesia, all international having symptoms and/or with body temperature above 37.5 degree Celsius, are required to carry out RT-PCR re-examination.
  • Travellers with flight connection on Indonesia domestic routes will require 3 doses of vaccine to continue the journey. The travellers with 2 doses of vaccine must show a negative rapid antigen result 1 x 24 hours or an RT-PCR test 3 x 24 hours before departure (Domestic Flight) as a travel requirement and can do a third vaccine (booster) on-site upon departure.
  • Please note: The Health Ministry of Indonesia has tightened Health Check at all International Arrival Borders/Airports and travellers will be subjected to stringent Health Check before allowed to continue their journey.
  • Accepted vaccines: Covaxin, Covishield and Sputnik V.

Quarantine Rules:

  • None
  • All travellers who test positive during the on-arrival test but have no or mild symptoms are required to carry out isolation in hotels or centralized isolation facilities set by the government or self-isolate in their own residences following the procedure recommended by the Ministry of Health. While those with moderate or severe symptoms will be treated at a COVID-19 referral hospital as per the recommendations from doctors and Ministry of Health.

  • Indonesia is open for tourism. Fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated and non-vaccinated travellers can enter Indonesia

Guidelines for Non-Vaccinated Travellers

Covid test rules:

  • Pre-departure test: Non-vaccinated travellers (except children below 5 years) must carry a negative RT-PCR test, with sample taken 48 hours before scheduled departure.
  • On arrival test: While arriving at entry points in Indonesia, all international having symptoms and/or with body temperature above 37.5 degree Celsius, are required to carry out RT-PCR re-examination.
  • Travellers who have not yet been vaccinated or cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons, must present a statement letter from a medical specialist from a government hospital in their country of origin. 
  • Travellers with flight connection on Indonesia domestic routes will require 3 doses of vaccine to continue the journey. The travellers with 2 doses of vaccine must show a negative rapid antigen result 1 x 24 hours or an RT-PCR test 3 x 24 hours before departure (Domestic Flight) as a travel requirement and can do a third vaccine (booster) on-site upon departure.

Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated Travellers

Covid test rules:

  • Fully vaccinatedtravellers must carry their vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. Children under 12 years of age are exempted from this requirement if they travel with fully vaccinated parent(s) or guardian(s).
  • Travellers shall be tested by RDT on COVID-I9 at MOH and airport operators approved COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostics Test (RDT) testing counters at their own costs. Travelers will be charged 15,000 MMK for testing.
  • COVID-19 fully vaccinated travellers may leave the airport after receiving their negative COVID-19 test result from the respective health authorities. (The test results will take approximately one hour to be conveyed by the respective health authorities.)
  • Travellers shall report to the respective health authorities, if they have developed signs and symptoms of COVID-19 during their stay in Myanmar. (Contact details of the respective health authorities can be obtained from the designated hotels.)

  • Arriving travellers at Kigali International Airport must present a negative Antigen Rapid Test report taken 72 hours prior to departure (meaning travellers must be tested and get results within 3 days of their first flight).  
  • COVID-19 Test is not mandatory for accompanied children under 5 years.  
  • Incoming travellers eligible (aged 12 years and above) for Covid-19 vaccine are encouraged to be fully vaccinated before their travel. 
  • All Rwandan travellers eligible (aged 12 years and above) for Covid-19 vaccine departing from Rwanda must be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means having two doses and a booster shot when eligible (administered 3 months after the second dose).  
  • All travellers arriving or transiting through Rwanda will be screened upon entry and required to take a second RT-PCR test to confirm the negative results of the test done prior to arrival. 
  • All travellers are required to wait 24 hours for the results of their COVID-19 test in a designated transit hotel.  
  • Transiting/connecting travellers who are not leaving the airport for less than 12 hours will be screened upon entry and are not required to take a second test (This is not applicable for transiting travellers by land borders, in that case, travellers will be tested using RT-PCR test on arrival).

What are the eligibility criteria/visa requirements for Indians?

  • Indian nationals who have been in India in the last 14 days before departure cannot enter Nigeria as per the latest travel ban. This does not apply to anyone transiting through India. Below guidelines are for passengers whose travel does NOT originate in India.
  • Travel is open for stranded Nigerian nationals/residents, any Indian national holding any type of valid Nigerian visa and destined for any country in Africa; foreign nationals destined for Africa and transiting through Nigeria or spouses of these persons (accompanying or otherwise).
  • Seamen holding Indian passports would be allowed to travel subject to clearance from the Ministry of Shipping.

Can non-Indians travel?

  • Yes, Nigeria is open to most nationalities.
  • However, any person who has visited Brazil, India or Turkey in the last 14 days before departure cannot currently enter Nigeria. This regulation does not apply to passengers who have transited through these countries.

Quarantine Rules:

  • Not fully vaccinated/unvaccinated travellers without a negative COVID 19 RT- PCR certificate will be tested for COVID-19 using RT-PCR test at their own cost of 100 USD for Tanzania Mainland. Results will be sent to them while self-isolated.
  • Travellers originating from countries listed atmoh.go.tz or Points of Entry will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival using a Rapid Antigen Test at their own cost of 10 USD (TZS 23,000) for Tanzania Mainland. If found positive, they will be tested with RT- PCR for confirmation, allowed to self-isolate and the results will be sent via email or any other means.

  • Non-vaccinated travellers between 12-17 years old will be able to travel to Spain with a negative PCR, antigen test or a recovery certificate.

    • Transport personnel, seafarers, and aeronautical personnel necessary to carry out air transport activities
    • People who document reasons of force majeure or situation of need, or humanitarian reasons.
