About SpiceJet
SpiceJet Operation
Spice Jet was earlier known as ModiLuft started in February 1993 and was one of the first private airlines to start after the deregulation of the Indian Aviation Industry. With international partner Lufthansa, this project took off with the first flight on 1993 5th May. From its early beginnings, Spice Jet set the standards being one of the quickest domestic airlines to start operations within only 3 months of its initiation. Additionally, SpiceJet (earlier ModiLuft) was the only airline in India to fly a three class configuration. However, moving forward there were some business parity issues between the German and Indian management which lead to the demise of the erstwhile ModiLuft. Thereafter, with new promoters, SpiceJet was born which not only brought in the Modern Boeing planes but also a record ticket pricing strategy of Rs99 for 99 days. This special fare created an Asian record since it garnered 37,000 flights booking in one day. With well experienced staff, high level of customer service as well as low cost flight tickets, SpiceJet is one of the prominent domestic airlines in India with an aim to make Flying available to everyone.
With comprehensive coverage of 32 Indian cities, modern fleet of aeroplanes and good customer service, all make for compelling reasons to avail of our SpiceJet Online Booking feature. Goibibo’s superfast booking engine makes sure you don’t twiddle your thumbs waiting for the online booking of your ticket. Fly to top domestic destinations like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune & Goa and get the lowest fares using Goibibo’s online booking facility.
