Use DigiYatra—the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s mobile app
to enjoy a smooth airport experience for your next flight.

Explained in detail below are the steps you can follow
to seamlessly download & use the app:

STEP 1

Download the DigiYatra App from Play Store/App Store

STEP 2

Enter your mobile number to register

STEP 3

Submit the OTP sent to your registered mobile number for verification

STEP 4

Start your journey by tapping on the Wallet icon at the bottom of the home screen

STEP 5

Add your identity credential by using Offline Aadhaar

STEP 6

Click on Download Aadhaar e-KYC

STEP 6 (A)

You will be redirected to the login page on myAadhaar

STEP 6 (B)

Enter Aaadhaar number, captcha & OTP to login

STEP 6 (C)

Click on Offline eKYC

STEP 6 (D)

Create a share code of 4 digits

STEP 6 (E)

Download the file

STEP 6 (F)

Go to your downloaded files, open the ZIP file and click on Extract All to download the extracted version

STEP 6 (G)

Enter the 4-digit Share Code you had created

STEP 6 (H)

Go back to the app, click on Upload XML & upload the extracted Aadhaar file

Click on Proceed

Click your picture to setup a face ID

Alternative Option

You can also choose to add your identity credential by using DigiLocker

Alternative Option (B)

Sign into DigiLocker using your mobile number/ Aadhaar/ username

STEP 7

You can also choose to add your Health Credentials by submitting your full name and CoWin-registered mobile number to fetch your vaccination details

STEP 8

Go to the home screen and press the + icon besides Your Upcoming Travel to add a trip

STEP 9

You can update your travel by either scanning boarding pass, uploading boarding image or uploading boarding PDF

STEP 10

After uploading your boarding pass, you will be able to see your upcoming travel on the home screen

STEP 11

Click on the orange arrow to share your upcoming travel with the government & get access to a separate queue for entering the airport

Once you have successfully completed these steps on the DigiYatra app,
follow these steps at the airport:

To Enter the Airport

1.
Proceed to the entry e-gate dedicated for those who have completed their verification through the DigiYatra app
2.
Scan the bar code on your boarding pass
3.
Look into the camera to scan your face through the Facial Recognition System, and the e-gate will open to allow you to enter

For Luggage Drop

1.
Drop your luggage at the airline check-in desk
2.
If you have no luggage, proceed towards the DigiYatra gate for the security check

For Security Check

1.
Proceed towards the DigiYatra gate for the security check
2.
At the DigiYatra gate, look into the camera to scan your face through the Facial Recognition System, and the gate will open to allow you in for the security check
3.
Once completed, proceed towards your boarding gate

Note: If the passenger has opted for Aadhaar-based verification, the identity will be verified online and he/she can enter the airport and continue with the check-in and security process as defined above. However, if the passenger has selected any other identity card, the verification will be done manually by security personnel at the airport.
